Erotica LA: Best Day is Day #1

Chef Jeff posts on www.theindustryvoice.com: Day 2 at Erotica LA was jam packed with the largest crowd that I can recall, from any recent adult convention, say, in the past 3 years. The only trouble with day 2 is that it’s the day that most of the models start to get a bit irritated with the crowd and the discomfort level from their 6 inch platforms starts to reach intolerable levels. Clearly, the best day to be a fan at Erotica LA is day 1. The girls are nicer, happier to be there, cheerfully signing autographs and posing for pictures. That demeanor gradually changes until day 3, on which most of them are crawling to reach the finish line. Watching the clocks like hawks until the long awaited time comes that they can leave.

A burger and fries at the show is going to run you $7.75, $2.00 for a can of soda and $3.50 for a soft serve ice cream in a cup. You’re talking roughly 14 bucks for a meal. I personally recommend the chicken or veggie wrap, also at $7.75. Tastes good and healthiest choice.

I ran into Chris Evans, the better half of Chris and Alana Evans. Alana recently had her boobs done, but I have yet to see them in person.

The big hair fashion trend for porn stars this year is going dark. First to go dark of course was Jenna Jameson, Melissa Lauren recently followed suit and is leaning towards a more jet black color. I prefer her as a blonde.

The formerly self-proclaimed “Thunder from Down Under”, Tony Sexton changed his stage name to Eddie Charisma, in a desperate attempt to get more bookings, hoping that by the slightest chance someone won’t put 2 and 2 together. His name wasn’t the reason girls didn’t want to work with this guy, so my guess is the name change won’t help him any.

Day 2 porn star notable sightings include: Lexi Tyler, Lexi Lamour, Leah Luv, Karina Kay, Taylor Wayne, Michelle Lay, Kinzie Kenner, Makayla, Tiana Lynn, Shy Love, Tera Patrick, Gia Paloma.

Erotica LA kicked off Friday night at the Los Angeles Convention Center, South Hall with a large, eager crowd and a handfull of porn stars and spokesmodels.

One of my favorite stops on the showroom floor is the Deja Vu Showgirls booth. The girls don’t take their clothes off or give lap dances, but shit, I don’t mind gawking at the free stage shows that their corps of topless dancers put on continuously, all day. At first you kind of feel bad for staring for free, but then, after a while, you don’t feel so bad.

Kinzie Kenner and I were based at the Insanity Pictures booth, run by Michelle Lay and hubby/Director Reno Ash.

The showroom floor looked like it has more vendors than in years past.

No time to expand on day one because I am slightly hung over from dinner and drinks with the great guys from Fox Magazine, Chip, Harlie and freelance writer, Jeff Hudis. Thanks for the good time! We did about 4 rounds of pints of ale at The Standard in downtown.
