Sex offenders can tell their story walking at www.adultcybermart.com

from www.myfoxny.com - A New York judge ruled Tuesday that former Giants star Lawrence Taylor will be classified as a low-risk sex offender for patronizing an underage prostitute.

According The Journal News, State Supreme Court Justice William A. Kelly ordered that Taylor be classified as a Level 1 sex offender, the category assigned to those deemed to have the lowest risk of committing another sex crime.

Taylor's name, photo and criminal history will not appear on the state's database of sex offenders.

Taylor pleaded guilty in January to misdemeanor charges of patronizing a prostitute and sexual misconduct after he was arrested in May 2010 at a hotel in Montebello, N.Y., for paying $300 for sex with a 16 year old prostitute. He maintained that he did not know the girl was underage.

Taylor, 52, was originally charged with felony third-degree rape and sexual abuse, but those charges were dropped after his guilty plea.

Kelly sentenced Taylor to six years of probation and a $1,400 fine on March 22.

Taylor, regarded as one of the NFL's all-time best defensive players, was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1999 after playing for the Giants from 1981 to 1993 and helping the team win two Super Bowls.
