Until now. Michael Stabile’s “Smut Capital of America” screens on Friday, June 19 at 11AM at the Victoria Theater, 2961 16th Street as part of the Frameline Film Festival.

Having seen the sixteen minute film, it is a brilliant contribution to San Francisco history, and should be a must see for anyone interested in Dianne Feinstein’s political emergence, the city’s official war on porn, and the porn culture of what is now a bygone era. Director John Waters is among the many commentators in the film.
