FL teens charged with making porn video

KEY LARGO, Fla. — from www.miamiherald.com= The Monroe County Sheriff’s office has charged 10 teens from the Florida Keys with making child pornography after detectives confiscated a videotape of a 16-year-old runaway girl having sex with a 19-year-old man.

Authorities said the investigation started when a 14-year-old runaway told a school resource officer that she was worried her friend – the girl having sex on the tape – had been raped. The girl who appeared in the video denied being raped.

The teens, seven boys and three girls age 13 to 19, face charges of sexual performance by a child, a second-degree felony. Eight of the 10 were arrested Wednesday; the other two are out of town and will be arrested when they return.

It is unclear whether any of the teens have retained attorneys.
