Flynt to Open in Scotland, London

WWW- Larry Flynt in kilts is not a pretty picture. But US porn baron Flynt is, nevertheless, set to open a chain of sex supermarkets in Scotland.

The controversial publisher, known for his hard-core publications, wants to launch Hustler Hollywood UK in June.

Flynt’s British ‘erotic superstores’ will sell his branded range of Hustler lingerie, sex toys and leisure wear.

Stores are set for Edinburgh, Glasgow, London, Birmingham, Nottingham, Manchester and Cardiff, with lap-dancing clubs to follow if it is a success.

Flynt is a hero to many in the US after fighting a series of obscenity lawsuits on the right to free speech, immortalised in 1996 film The People vs Larry Flynt. Hustler’s Los Angeles-based US stores have attracted celebrity fans like Liz Hurley.

But Hustler Hollywood UK insist it will not sell hard-core mags, sex videos or DVDs.

UK spokesman Maneeze Chowdhury said: ‘No extreme products will be on sale and we won’t require a sex shop licence. Our shops are upmarket.’

But Sandra Brown, founder of the Moira Anderson Foundation against child abuse, said: ‘The thought chills my blood.’
