TOKYO – from www.tokyoreporter.com – The first crackdown on a foot-fetish sex club shows that the battle being waged between the cops and illicit establishments is escalating, reports Shukan Jitsuwa.
Tokyo Metropolitan Police on February 14 busted a massage parlor for offering sexual services dispensed by the feet of female attendants.
Officers from the peace preservation division of the TMD took managers Masashi Ono, 66, and Seiji Aramaki, 46, and one other employee affiliated with Ashizeme Club, located in the Ueno district of Taito Ward, into custody for violating the Law Regulating Adult Entertainment Businesses.
According to police sources, the club offers private rooms and is staffed by over 20 women, whose treatments start at 8,000 yen for 30 minutes. Operations began in an apartment building south of JR Ueno Station in 2002. Since that time sales have totaled 550 million yen.
In 2010, officers entered the apartment building housing the club and made 17 arrests from various other establishments operating in violation of the same law. At the time, Ashizeme Club was not cited.
“The club offers a special foot service,” says a writer who covers the adult-entertainment industry. “The surprising thing is that they are not using hands or mouths. Instead, the club recruited women with nice legs.”
Standard protocol is for customers to enter a private room and drop their pants. The masseuse will then ridicule the man’s manhood, a process considered to be a turn on.
“She’ll then rub his privates and face with the stocking covering her leg,” continues the scribe. “The smell of her foot, the feeling of her stocking, and the masochistic-type sensation gets the guy off.”
The writer speculates that the more than 500 million yen in revenue was derived from repeat customers as the sex industry continues to be mired in a deflationary slump.
Yet this bust shows that the game of cat-and-mouse between the cops and clubs continues unabated, says the weekly. Last month law enforcement busted four panty-peeking clubs in the Tokyo metropolitan area for violations of the Labor Standards Act.
Shukan Jitsuwa points out that since the high school girls did not remove all of their clothes and there was no contact or conversation with customers the strategy of the clubs was to skirt the adult-entertainment law.
The cops are getting the upper hand, concludes the weekly, but the war is far from over. (A.T.)
