Florida- Caught with hard-core porn on his work computer – that’s why former state Representative Gus Barreiro [pictured] was fired from his state job last month.

Barreiro, shown here in 2006 when he was still a lawmaker from Miami, worked at the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice after he left the Legislature because of term limits.

Last month, state investigators discovered nearly 400 sexually explicit images on Barreiro’s work computer. A report of the investigation says all of the images were adult pornography and there was no child porn.

The report says Barreiro’s computer showed he had visited 42 web pages containing explicit material. Most of the explicit images came from a Web site called Adultfriendfinder.com, where the user had logged onto the site as member “cubancigar107” and searched for member profiles and video.

The Web site advertises itself as the, quote, “ultimate source” for “Free Sex Personals, Adult Dating, Amateurs & Swingers.”

Barreiro told investigators he allowed other people to use his computer on occasion, but he refused to identify them. He also said he inherited the computer and said, quote, “There was all kinds of stuff on it” when he got it.

Barreiro is 49 years old. He was first elected to the Legislature in 1998 and termed out after serving 8 years in the House.

He had worked at DJJ since March of 2008.
