As if they didn’t have enough to do battling censors and zealots, now they’re scrapping over the online piracy that was actually first welcomed to boost their bottom line.
After yesterday’s ribbon cutting by XXX-rated actress Jenna Haze, she said she’s personally going to lead the charge to kill piracy.
“If Hollywood can stamp it out, we must, too. It has to be a collective effort and not just individual companies moaning about the situation. We got to all get together to stay alive, and I’m ready to go to war over it.”

Rumors circulated at AEE yesterday that because of the effects of piracy and thus smaller distributors lineup, this might well be the final year at Sands Convention Center at The Venetian — and with a move to the Palms or Mandalay Bay. Worse, there were even rumors this could be the final year altogether.
But a top AVN executive told me emphatically: “We’re definitely back in Vegas for this time next year — the 2012 convention. However, we can’t say yet where our location will be. It could still be at The Venetian or it could be some other Vegas venue. But we will definitely be back next year!”
