Hey, as long as it’s not syphilis…
San Francisco 49ers star wide receiver Michael Crabtree has been interviewed by San Francisco police regarding allegations that he sexually assaulted a woman Jan. 13 following the team’s playoff victory over the Green Bay Packers, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.
Crabtree has agreed to make himself available for further interviews, the newspaper reported. He has not been arrested, and the 25-year-old is expected to play in Sunday’s NFC championship game vs. the Atlanta Falcons.
Crabtree is coming off his best season of his four-year career, as he caught 85 passes for 1,105 yards and nine touchdowns. He was especially productive in the 49ers’ divisional round victory vs. Green Bay, when he caught nine passes for 111 yards and two touchdowns. He and Colin Kaepernick have appeared to form a great rapport on the field.
The 49ers will be heading to Atlanta for Sunday’s game.
