Screw Network Launches ALVIN Adult Web Browser for Windows

Screw Network has expanded its ALVIN TV platform with the release of the ALVIN Adult Web Browser, a free Windows browser designed for adult entertainment. This new browser, available for download at ScrewNetwork.com, focuses on privacy, creator discovery, and alternative web use.

ALVIN's Dedicated Environment

The ALVIN Adult Web Browser is now available as a free download for Windows. It is designed to provide a dedicated environment for adult entertainment, distinguishing it from general-purpose browsers. The browser's creator and Screw publisher, Phil Autelitano, stated that ALVIN gives adult content its own home, allowing users to open it when desired and close it afterward, returning to their regular browser.

A Screw representative explained that the ALVIN TV device and ALVIN Browser share the concept that adult entertainment should have its own environment, rather than being integrated into platforms and browsers built for other purposes. This approach aims to keep adult browsing separate from everyday browser activity.

The ALVIN Browser does not maintain a traditional browsing history or activity log. This feature is intended to help keep adult browsing distinct from a user's everyday browser activity, preventing websites and social media from discovering browsing behavior. Once ALVIN is closed, all activity within it is removed.

The browser organizes content into specific sections: Watch, Chat, Play, Backroom, My Media, and Settings. These sections provide direct access to adult entertainment, live cams and chat, browser-based games, adult shopping and services, locally-stored media, and other web destinations. The browser also functions as a full web browser, allowing users to enter conventional web addresses. For additional privacy and access, ALVIN includes an optional Tor Mode, enabling Tor-based browsing directly within the ALVIN environment.

Features and Creator Support

One notable feature of ALVIN is Type&Swipe, a wireless remote system that allows users to control the browser from a smartphone on the same local network. The smartphone acts as a touchpad-style controller with swipe navigation and mobile keyboard input. This feature is particularly useful when a Windows computer is connected to a television or viewed from a distance, according to a Screw representative.

ALVIN also supports local media, enabling users to keep downloaded content alongside their streaming and web experience, rather than being limited to a single content provider. An integrated social feed within the browser surfaces posts, creators, releases, promotions, and adult-industry content. This feed is also intended to serve as a free promotional channel for performers, studios, and creators, allowing approved social posts to reach ALVIN users without requiring a traditional advertising purchase.

Autelitano noted that adult creators often dedicate significant time to social platforms that may impose restrictions or removals. He stated that ALVIN aims to provide another platform and audience for content creators who are already producing content for social media.

Users can navigate between premium scenes, live performers, games, independent creators, social posts, local media, and privacy-oriented browsing, all within the ALVIN environment. Autelitano emphasized that ALVIN is about discovery, encompassing premium content, live cams, creators, games, independent sites, and other web content, including Tor access.

The ALVIN TV device was created to bring adult entertainment to the largest screen in the house, while the ALVIN Browser extends this adult-first philosophy to desktop users in a dedicated Windows environment, as stated by a Screw representative.
