Ideal Image Models announced that model Cali Lee, 35, was involved in a motorcycle accident at the end of July, leading to the creation of a GoFundMe campaign to assist with her medical expenses.
Cali Lee's Accident and Recovery
Cali Lee, active in the adult entertainment industry since 2008, sustained severe injuries in a motorcycle accident while riding her Harley. The accident resulted in a broken back, multiple fractured ribs, and a shattered ankle. Days after the incident, Lee underwent surgery on her leg.
According to information on the GoFundMe page, Lee does not have medical insurance. This situation led to her discharge from the hospital earlier than recommended, with her sent home with a walker and experiencing significant pain and untreated needs. Doctors have cautioned that another fall could result in permanent paralysis for Lee.
A friend of Lee's initiated the GoFundMe campaign to provide financial support for her medical expenses and recovery. The fundraiser is available on GoFundMe.com.
Other Motorcycle Accident Fundraisers
GoFundMe campaigns have also been established for other individuals involved in motorcycle accidents. In Victorville, California, a GoFundMe campaign was launched to support the family of Arturo “Art” Rafael Villanueva. Villanueva, 39, died on Friday, May 1, 2026, at approximately 8:15 p.m., following a crash on State Route 18 near Descanso Road. Authorities reported that Villanueva struck an animal and was ejected from his motorcycle. The fundraiser, titled "Support for Jessica and Her Boys after their Tragedy," was created by Amy DeAngelis to assist Villanueva's wife, Jessica, and their two sons. DeAngelis stated that Villanueva was the sole provider for his household, making the financial burden of funeral arrangements and maintaining their home particularly difficult for Jessica.
In Vernon, a GoFundMe was launched for Stacey Winters, who suffered serious injuries in a motorcycle crash on April 21. The fundraiser indicated that Winters was in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit in Kelowna, facing multiple surgeries and an uncertain recovery. This accident occurred shortly after Winters's wife, Tina, experienced her own health scare in February. The GoFundMe aims to alleviate the financial strain on the family, allowing them to focus on Winters's recovery.
E-Bike Incident in Lake Forest
Separately, an incident in Lake Forest, California, involved an 81-year-old substitute teacher and war veteran, Ed Ashman, who was struck by a 14-year-old riding an e-bike. Ashman, who served in the Vietnam War as a U.S. Airman, was walking home from El Toro High School when he was hit by the electric motorcycle on Thursday. Police reported that Ashman was attempting to cross a street when the teen allegedly struck him. Authorities were called to the scene shortly before 4 p.m., where Ashman was found on the side of the road in the area of Toledo Way and Ridge Route Drive with life-threatening injuries. The Orange County Sheriff's Department stated that the suspect fled the area, and the e-bike was identified as an electric motorcycle designed for off-highway use. Ashman was transported to a local hospital and was listed in critical condition. Witnesses provided a description of the teen, who was suspected of driving recklessly. A search warrant was served at a nearby residence in Lake Forest, and a 14-year-old male was subsequently identified.
