Porn Vallery- Hustler TV is heading for Europe, marking porn baron Larry Flynt’s latest foray into the overseas market, coming a year after his chain of retail stores arrived in the UK.

Flynt’s LFP Broadcasting has signed an agreement with adult channel distributor Total Media to extend Hustler TV’s presence beyond North America and Canada, where it has been on air for the past two years.

The news comes just two weeks after competitor Penthouse Media said it had raised $48m to fund the global roll-out of its own broadcast and video-on-demand TV networks.

It is in this latter space that companies such as Flynt’s expect to prosper as VoD increasingly becomes a feature of households with the launch of cable services and IPTV networks. Hustler TV currently reaches more than 16 million VoD subscribers.

“Hustler TV is already one of the top adult television networks in North America and we believe that Total Media will bring us even greater success in Europe,” said LFP Broadcasting president Michael Klein.
