CALGARY — Secret film of a Calgary mom having Internet video-cam sex [if it was on the Internet how secret can it be?] in front of her young children has been used to permanently remove the kids from their home.
Family court Judge Steven Lipton ruled the tapes taken by the youngest child’s father were admissible, even though the mom was unaware she was being filmed.
Lipton, in a written decision obtained yesterday by Sun Media, said it didn’t matter whether the mother’s privacy rights were breached since the Charter didn’t apply to the case.
“The purpose of child-protection legislation is to protect children and to look after their best interests,” said Lipton, in the ruling handed down last month.
