CockyBoys has premiered "Gods & Heroes," a new mythological fantasy feature directed by Jake Jaxson. The production, described as the studio's most ambitious in over a decade, explores themes of shame, desire, and the return of gay gods.

Premiere and Production Details

The world premiere of Jake Jaxson's "Gods & Heroes" for CockyBoys took place on Thursday, June 26, 2026, in New York. The series was also set to premiere on Wednesday, June 24th. This "big-budget erotic fantasy" marks Jaxson's return to cinematic storytelling, a style that helped establish him as an influential filmmaker in gay adult entertainment. CockyBoys described the feature as an "epic mythical feature exploring shame, desire, and the return of the gay gods."

Jaxson, a multiple GayVN Award-winning director and five-time GAYVN and XBIZ Best Director winner, is known for his blend of erotic storytelling, satire, romance, and cinematic visuals. His previous acclaimed features include "Answered Prayers," "All Saints," "Project Go-Go Boy," and "Love Happens." Under Jaxson's creative leadership, CockyBoys became recognized for its narrative-driven and art-directed approach to adult filmmaking.

"Gods & Heroes" imagines a world where the Greek gods awaken after centuries of silence. They discover a modern society that has abandoned myth, beauty, mystery, and wonder in favor of a new false god: Big Tech. Jaxson stated that he was inspired to make the feature because he finds himself "living in a world I no longer fully recognize, understand, or even like." He also noted that "we increasingly live in a culture where shame seems to have disappeared for those with power—the people making the rules, pointing fingers and rewriting history."

Jaxson further discussed the inspiration behind the project, stating, "Where's our own gay origin story? It's long overdue. With this project, I attempt to tell stories that have been erased, hidden, distorted, or destroyed for far too long. With Gods & Heroes, I wanted to create a fantasy where the old gods awaken, desire becomes destiny, and gay men are no longer outside the myth. We are the heroes. We are the creators. We are divine through our audacity to be fully, beautifully, and unapologetically ourselves." He also considered the possibility of what happens "when those of us who have been labeled sinners stop carrying that shame? What happens when queer desire, imagination, excitement and sexuality are no longer treated as something broken, but instead reclaimed as sacred, ancient and divine?"

Episode One Narrative and Cast

Episode One of "Gods & Heroes" opens with Hermes, played by Seth Cain, awakening Zeus, portrayed by Cade Maddox. Hermes informs Zeus of the state of the mortal world. Zeus, described as bemused but increasingly angered by his discoveries, commands Hermes to awaken the other gods and help identify a new hero capable of challenging humanity's modern false idols.

The episode also features Zeus alone on Olympus, where he becomes restless, bored, and consumed by desire. He summons three mortals—Oliver Carter, Zane Kazan, and Gage Palmer—to satisfy his libido, leading to a "wild fourgy."

Cade Maddox brings his "signature charisma" and "signature confidence and power" to the role of Zeus. Jaxson noted that Carter, Kazan, and Palmer "embody the sensuality, freedom, and unapologetic desire that define the project as a whole." Other cast members mentioned in connection with the series include Dom King, Kane Fox, and Hunter Graham. CockyBoys also teased "additional surprise cast" reveals after episode one.

Episode One is now streaming exclusively on CockyBoys.com.
