Jason Sechrest, www.jasoncurious.com, who drops Minnelli’s name with great frequency on his KSEX show, www.ksexradio.com, The Young & The Curious got a lot closer. He met Minnelli today in San Diego.

Sechrest, staying on Shelter Island in San Diego at Humphrey’s Half Moon Inn where Minnelli is playing tonight live, found himself booked in the room next to her. Sechrest, who got front row center stage seats and a deluxe suite, besides, even got to chat with Minnelli at length.

“It was so cool,” he said. “I mean, I imitate her and talk about her on my show all the time. I plan on meeting up with her later and telling her to tune in [to his KSEX show]. I’m sure she’d love some sex talk radio.” Sechrest said he also got to see Minnelli rehearse. “Her voice is better than it was when she was with David Guest,” he notes. “She is opening the show tonight with “I Can See Clearly Now The Rain Has Gone” and I think it’s a slap in the face to him, frankly.”
