Jay Grdina, Jenna Jameson Being Sued by Partner Over Penthouse Deal

PHOENIX from www.courthousenews.com – Former porn star Jenna Jameson and her ex-husband, John Grdina, failed to repay James R. Grdina for money he loaned them for their frustrated effort to buy “Penthouse” magazine, James Grdina claims in Maricopa County Court.

Grdina says he loaned the pair $250,000 “as a partner contribution” to buy the adult magazine after it was put up for sale in 2003. But the deal never went through, and James Grdina says he was repaid only $125,000.

The loan was supposed to be paid back to Grdina when Club Jenna, the defendants’ adult entertainment company, was sold to Playboy Enterprises. But James Grdina says the club was never fully paid for. James Grdina says he was a partner in Club Jenna and was entitled to income from the company when it was sold, but he didn’t get it.

He claims that federal tax forms reported him as earning $227,822 from Club Jenna, but he never got that money, though he incurred tax liabilities of $111,405 for it.

Grdina says he loaned the couple and the club another $275,000 to the couple and to Club Jenna in 2006, and never got it back.

And he says Jameson and John Grdina bought customized Jacob & Co. watches as gifts for employees, and for themselves, “yet failed to pay James Grdina back for any of these purchases.”

Also named as defendants are Dolce Amore, CJ Inc. and Evolution Media Group.

James Grdina is represented by Lisa M. Borowsky and Brooke L. Findley with Borowsky Law of Scottsdale.
