Porn Valley- Jet Multimedia is looking to have it's work-in-progress website up and running by the end of next month. And it'll probably be making an announcement on a new general manager shortly. But, right now, the company's concentrating on finding a couple of industry pros to join its sales force.
Sales manager Steve Miller says he's looking for people who can sell to distributors and smaller accounts. "A little bit of everything," Miller says of Jet which is four years old.
"We got off to a slow start," Miller admits. "We had the wrong people in here, but, since, we've brought in some key personnel. As a result, things have turned around over the last year. And Jet is making much better product and much better boxcovers."
Miller attibutes that to the fact that the company went out and found a great artist, an industry veteran. "Since then we've been getting some phenomenal covers," Miller said. "And our sales have picked up quite a bit which is allowing us to do a lot of other things, including a website- www.jetmulti.com- which is constructed and almost ready.
"We'll have product available for sale there," Miller went on to say. "We'll have product that people can come to look at." The company lines include it's best seller, Barely Female. "We have nine volumes currently," said Miller. "We're coming out with one a month. Those titles have been talking off and doing very well."
Other themed lines include Things Mommy Taught Me, My Neighbor's Daughter and Daddy's Dirty Little Girls. "Young girls, hot, pretty nasty sex, great covers," said Miller, summing it up. "We're currently putting out one to two titles every week as new releases, and we are priced absolutely right."
According to Miller, Jet is able to sell its new releases where distributors and one-stops can make money with its titles and experience a nice healthy profit, besides. "We're also in the comp market," he notes. "We just dropped 50, 4-hour comps. The artwok is great and the sales have been brisk."
Miller says Jet plans to drop another 25- 50 comp titles before the end of the year. "And every 4 to 6 months we have a catalogue drop on our new releases that's always been very good to us," he goes on to say. "The pricing on our catalogue and 4-hour comp lines are also very competitive with some of the lowest prices on the market. We're part of the price game on comps."
In general, Miller says Jet is really starting to take off. "The end user is beginning to notice us; and the distributors are starting to like us as our boxcovers and content are getting better and better all the time." Miller says Jet is also planning on shooting some higher end budget features in the near future.
"We'll probably come out with a whole new line at some point," Millers adds. "But right now we're trying to compete with all the big boys."
It was noted that a lot of other companies are jumping into the trannie game, and Miller was asked how Jet was able to compete in that market. "We were very lucky," he answers. "We came out with a formula on our Barely Female series that people have found not only to be good sex, but the covers are really good. And we've acquired some user familiarity with the product. That helps a lot with a line like that."
