Killroy, the punk rock band featuring AVN Hall of Fame director Jim Powers as its bassist, released its latest EP, Brutalized, on the Mental Records label. This EP, which dropped the week of November 10, 2023, features five new songs: the title track "Brutalized," "I'm a Man," "Punk Rocker," "Lazy Slob," and "TV." The original members of Killroy, with Ken Wilkes on drums, contributed to this release. On July 1, 2025, Killroy released a new single titled "Street Bowling." This release also includes the tracks "Klaus Schwab" and the previously released "TV." Looking ahead to 2026, Jim Powers, also known as Jim Lane, and Killroy are scheduled for their third show of the year on Sunday, May 24. This event, the Punk Rock No-Tap Smash Bowling Show, will take place at the Bar 10 at Corbin Bowl during Memorial Day Weekend. The event is described as a music festival combined with a bowling tournament. Killroy will be one of seven bands performing, with original members Jim Lane, Tom De Spain, Eric Troop, and drummer Doug Polito from the 80s participating. Other bands on the bill include Sloppy Seconds, The Freeze, Pulley, Guilty by Association, The Afraid, and Color TV. Doors for the event open at 3 PM, with the show starting at 4 PM. Band History and Member Information
Killroy was formed in 1982 by Jim Lane, Tom De Spain, and Eric Troop, establishing itself as one of the early American Oi bands. Two years after releasing their second record, Believe in the Ruins, the band toured the U.S. Following this tour, Killroy went underground, occasionally performing at Los Angeles venues such as the Roxy, Viper Room, and Knitting Factory.
