Ken Shinkle fan sends the following: As Expo 2007’s in our rear view mirror I find it necessary to remind everyone what an unmitigated horse dick Ken Shinkle is. Below are some responses that Ken Shinkle typed himself during an interview with www.lukeisback.com.
It is not important if the statements Ken Shinkle provided are true or not. Try to focus on the unsavory light he sheds on our industry. It is difficult enough to prove our legitimacy without this big mouth negative asshole continuously making us all look like fools. After such an extended absence and years of continuous loathing of Don Waite’s Expo, one must ask, why would he want to return? Keep this in mind if he happens to be shaking your hand or smiling in your face this Expo.
Ken Shinkle:
“I am the Anti-Christ. When I was going to the Exotic Dancer Expo, and Don Waite has gotten way too expensive, I used to have ten booths. I had them filled with girls. Every little stupid agency would try to take my girls. It was like putting out a buffet and everyone would take what they wanted to eat.
Ken Shinkle:
“I had talked to Don Waite [publisher of Exotic Dancer magazine] a few times about [the high price of booths at his annual show in Las Vegas in August and how other agents would poach my women]. He couldn’t understand that I got tired of bringing out 30 girls and another agency would pop up, meet them in a bar or whatever, and skim the cream off the top. And the prices kept getting higher [for a booth].
“An average show girl, if she takes off that week of Expo, she’s already missing out on her week’s base pay, and tips, plus she has to pay for a hotel room, air fare, her badge…
“It’s not inconceivable that a showgirl will lose $3,000-$5,000 to go out there for a week to promote herself.
“Booths now run $1,300.
Ken Shinkle:
“When Jenna got out, everybody thought that Tera Patrick would take the reins. But Tera has a guy with her who is Craig Valentinish. It didn’t turn out.
“I don’t think any porn girl is worth what they’re making per show. Brianna Banks supposedly broke her toe. The club she was booked into had a billboard on the highway. She cancelled with one day’s notice.
“There were more talented girls out there ten years ago than now. As far as shows, personality, and responsibility, the girls ten years ago, there’s no comparison. It’s too easy now. Any house girl can go to an agency and say, I want to be a feature.”
Ken Shinkle on Tera Patrick:
If Tera Patrick decides not to show up, or if she shows up and has problems with her old man, or if she can’t dance… I’ve never seen her perform. But if this happens, and someone lays out $3,000 a show… I would love a Super Bowl of stripping. I’d take all the showgirls I represent and put them up against all the porn girls and my showgirls will outperform any porn girl.
Ken Shinkle on Summer Haze:
“I have nothing against Craig Valentine and Summer Haze except that they didn’t show up to my showcase when they were supposed to. Craig Valentine is just a panty picker-upper.
Ken Shinkle on Amber Waves:
“She has wanted to book with me for a long time. I invited her to come to Ponderosa about five years ago. She told me that she and another girl were going to come out. She was three hours away. She didn’t come. I don’t book her. I don’t book bad talent.”
Ken Shinkle on Frank Bane:
“Frank has no brain cells left.”
Ken Shinkle on Lori Alexia:
“Well, yeah, I’m not even going to go there. She’s one I won’t book. She thinks she’s a prima donna.”
Lori Alexia was drunker than shit at The Pink Pony in Atlanta and she beat the shit out of her roadie and got arrested for assault and battery. Then she tried to beat the shit out of a cop and she kicked the window out of a cop car.

It seems to me that the Feature industry has taken a turn for the worse… I wish someone would explain to me how there is no loyality in the business anymore..
This goes for the agents that will book anyone with boobs just to make a commission, to the girls that bang down your door wanting to become a feature, just to have them run to other agents after I’ve done all the work to get them started, and in some cases, book them into clubs that I also book!!!
1. Why do other agencies charge from $500-$1500 for training in their “school” when I provide FREE training during the day & have the girl work at a club at night so she can MAKE money INSTEAD of spending it?
2. Why can’t other agents create their own features and do their own work instead of “vulture picking” off the other agents rosters?
3. During the E.D. Expo, why do I only charge the minimum cost to be in the booth & help you find affordable hotel rooms so it’s not so expensive?
4. Why do others charge a club $5000+ for a showcase that I charge $0 for and why are some of theirs in clubs that don’t even book features? when I charge 12%?
6. Why is a brocheure layout $500-$600 for a half page when I can do a FULL PAGE color ad for $100?
7. Why do clubs overpay for girls that I can book for LESS money?
8. Why do clubs stay with the same agent when their not happy with the talent their getting?
