New York- Trans Digital Media, LLC has announced the launch of PLAYGIRL TV, the first network to offer adult television programming produced by and for women. For more than thirty years, PLAYGIRL Magazine has enjoyed the reputation as the brand women know and trust most for adult entertainment. Now PLAYGIRL TV will use that experience to produce innovative programming featuring the hottest guys, the most erotic sex and candid sexualadvice — intimate “events” previously reserved for men only.
“Men have a huge selection of sexually oriented programming on television but women have been largely ignored,” says PLAYGIRL TV spokesperson Kelly Holland [aka Toni English]. “PLAYGIRL knows women love and desire sex as much as any man and PLAYGIRL TV will deliver them the erotic experience they’ve been demanding –no holds barred.”
PLAYGIRL TV will be available as magazine formatted productions with segments based on popular features in the magazine in addition to more innovative concepts that bring together a new intimacy, eroticism and visual style to adult programming. Immediate production plans include: the first adult soap opera from a distinctly women’s point-of-view; a 1940’s-style romantic comedy with a sexual twist and roundtable discussions on newsworthy women’s topics.
Favorites from the magazine such as “Campus Hunks” and “Man of the Year” are also included and a national search for the handsomest men to star in PLAYGIRL TV programming has been initiated.
Media analyst Dennis McAlpine and managing partner of McAlpine Associates LLC says, “The PLAYGIRL name will differentiate the new network and its programming from other adult programming that is available to consumers andshould allow the company to establish a niche for itself.”
Exclusive … original … PLAYGIRL TV will be available initially only on Video-On-Demand (VOD), and Pay-Per-View (PPV).
