from www.upi.com – A California dietary supplement maker has agreed to pay a $1.75 million fine for falsely advertising that its product increased penis size, authorities said.

Biotab Neutraceuticals of Monrovia marketed and sold a product called ExtenZe, claiming without substantiation the supplement could increase a man’s penis size, the Orange County district attorney’s office said in a statement.

The district attorney sued the company for violating consumer protection laws, the Los Angeles Times reported Friday.

Biotab and the former owner of ExtenZe, a company called Dish Direct Inc., were sued in 2006 for making the same claims about its product, paid a $300,000 settlement and agreed stop falsely advertising the product.

The Orange County district attorney’s office filed the new suit alleging the company had violated that 2006 agreement.
