Man Torches Adult Bookstore

Kentucky- The Knox County Fire Bureau is investigating, but there’s no doubt a fire at an adult novelty store early Tuesday was intentional. Authorities say a man armed with a rifle and carrying a fuel can walked into the Town and Country Book Den shortly after 4:00 a.m. and began pouring out gasoline and setting fires.

A report by the Rural-Metro Fire Department says the man asked the clerk at the 24-hour business to leave and the clerk complied. The 911 dispatchers received a call about the blaze a short time later.

Captain Jeff Devlin of the fire service says the merchandise and the store’s interior were heavily damaged.

There was no suspect description available.
