On Wednesday, August 26, 2026, criminal proceedings were suspended for Adva Lavie, also known as Mia Ventura, after a doubt was declared about her mental competency. Lavie is charged with six felony counts, including burglary and grand theft, involving alleged victims she met through dating apps. The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office stated that Lavie is due at the Mental Health Courthouse in Hollywood on September 9.

Lavie was charged last year with stealing money and other property from individuals she met through dating applications. These alleged victims included wealthy older men and some younger women. Prosecutors accuse Lavie of targeting victims in Westlake Village, West Hollywood, Los Angeles, and Beverly Hills between 2023 and 2025. She allegedly posed as a girlfriend and travel companion to gain access to victims' homes, subsequently stealing cash, gold, and high-end designer items.

The charges against Lavie include two counts each of grand theft and unauthorized use of personal identifying information, along with one count each of first-degree residential burglary and first-degree residential burglary with a person present. If convicted on all charges, Lavie faces up to 11 years in a California prison. Earlier in August, a judge denied the defense's request for a mental health diversion program for Lavie.

During a recent hearing, Ventura was reportedly seen in a Los Angeles County courtroom dressed in a blue jail jumpsuit, crying, limping, and making statements such as, "Just deport me back to Israel," "They broke my rib. Just send me home," "They're beating me up," and "I can't survive in jail. I can't even stand." Reporters in the courtroom observed Ventura being escorted in and out of the courtroom multiple times, including one instance where a bailiff wheeled her back in on a roller chair. Ventura is currently being held without bail in a Los Angeles County jail, having been declared a flight risk by the courts.

In addition to the Los Angeles felony case, Lavie is facing similar charges in Riverside County. These charges stem from a case in Indio during music festival season last year, involving a high-value robbery that took place at an Airbnb within Indio city limits. Lavie was arrested over the summer on a felony warrant for theft filed by the Indio Police Department (IPD) related to this incident.

Lavie, who has also been known as a social media influencer and former OnlyFans model, has referred to herself as the "first" top OnlyFans model of Israeli origin. She was featured as the July 2023 Penthouse Pet of the Month.

Her case is also connected to former fiancé and real estate billionaire Stephen Cloobeck. Cloobeck was arrested in West Hollywood in May for allegedly attempting to dissuade multiple individuals from testifying in a criminal case against him.
