Miami Herald: Jesse Jane is Just a Country Girl at Heart

Miami Beach- Adult film star Jesse Jane was in Miami Beach last week for the Exxxotica convention and sure stayed busy. She flew in on a Saturday, signed autographs and took some photos for fans and hosted a party that night at Glass. Then it was back to Los Angeles for more work and then back home to Oklahoma. We caught up with the jet-set vixen for a few minutes on the casting, er, leather couch in her green room at the Miami Beach convention center.

How often do you come to Miami?

“I come to Miami a lot and host parties here, like at Mansion. But this is my first convention here. I also come to visit a lot of friends I have out here.”

What are some of your favorite places?

“I love Privé, I love to go to RokBar, and I love Nikki Beach. I kind of just go everywhere. Mansion is great.”

Do you have any favorite restaurants?

“I try new things, because there are always little cafes I haven’t tried. But one of my favorite places is Cafe Nexxt. Every time I go there my food is so good, and there’s so much food I can’t finish it all. Like when I landed yesterday, the first thing I did was Lincoln Road for shopping and eating.”

So where is home?

“I live in Oklahoma. I chose there because my family is based there and Texas. It keeps me sane and it’s quiet. After traveling with a crazy and chaotic schedule, it’s nice to be there. Plus, I have my dirt bikes and dune buggies there.”

Now, obviously we have seen a lot of you, but what’s something people don’t know about you?

“I am a tomboy. I am all about dirt bikes, dune buggies and jet skis. I am at the lake all the time. I am a country girl.”

What’s the biggest misconception of being an adult film star?

“The fact that people think we sleep with anybody and you can come up and say anything to us and grab us and we’ll sleep with you. I am the last person to do so. And that we’re stupid.”

Any interesting stalker-fan stories?

‘I did a Hustler store signing in Hollywood once and this guy, a fan, was there. He followed me . . . He came up to me at a party, pulled a knife on me, and said, `Jesse, can I talk to you for 20 seconds?’ Thank God I was surrounded by people. They jumped him and we called the police.”

So you were in the second season of HBO’s Entourage as a comic book heroine. How was that experience?

“I thought they were lying when they asked me to do the entire episode because that was one of my shows — that and Sex and the City. When they asked me, I made fun of them, like sure, I’ll work with them. But every one of those guys are so cool and even cooler in person. They are their characters. They are funny, down-to-earth guys. It was some of the most fun I have ever had.”
