TWIN FALLS, Idado – Naughty But Nice, the adult video store located on Main Avenue in downtown Twin Falls, will find a new location.
Archie Goodman, one of the owners of the building the store is in, said store owners Scot and Dee Roberts misled him about the nature of their store. He asked the Roberts to leave over the weekend after he declined to comment for a story in Saturday’s Times-News.
“Basically, they said they would be leaving as soon as they could find someplace to move to,” Goodman said. “We’ll find someone else. People periodically are looking for space.”
For now, the Roberts have painted over the large sign advertising the business, located between Cobble Creek Clothier and the former location of Tiffany Square. Scot Roberts, who spoke with Goodman, was unavailable for comment on Monday and the store was closed as of Monday afternoon. Phone calls from the Times-News were not returned.
Goodman said he expected the store to sell adult novelty items, similar to several other Twin Falls stores. Instead, the store largely stocks sexually explicit movies.
Before the weekend, Goodman said he would have taken the matter to the Twin Falls City Council if needed, though he hoped it wouldn’t go that far.
“What it has turned out to be for a lot of people is a nuisance,” Goodman said. “We want to let diverse businesses in, but want to keep it where people don’t worry about what children might see.”
