Night Trips- The Movie Christy Canyon Never Got to Star In

In her book, Lights, Camera Sex, Christy Canyon tells about the time she was mulling a comeback after a 4 year-hiatus and visiting Caballero Home Video to talk about a possible deal. Canyon notes that Caballero was shelling out $28,000 a month at the time for office space and she thought it was a total waste of money. Canyon also observes that you would think she was visiting Ft. Knox by all the security precautions that were being taken when she arrived to talk to Howie Klein. [Though she doesn’t mention Klein by his last name]

She was ushered into Klein’s office and notes that it was an example of eighties decorating at its best. Klein tells her that Caballero’s in production with Andrew Blake’s Night Trips. Canyon said it was all Greek to her that she had no idea who Blake was. Klein then tells her that Tori Welles is slated as the star of the movie but that Caballero would rather see Canyon play the nurse than Porsche Lynn. Canyon confesses that she was taken back by the offer of a bit part. Klein then tells Canyon that Lynn was going to be paid $500 for the scene, but after conferring with Al Bloom, the other partner, Caballero was willing to go as high as $2,000 for Canyon.

Referring to Klein as a “pompous little turd” and “a total loser,” Canyon thought the offer was both insane and insulting. Just then, Tori Welles walks into Klein’s office demanding a new car. Klein tells her there’s problems with getting a new one insured, and Welles, like a brat, demands to have a new Camaro by the next Monday or else she’s going to Vivid.

Canyon states that compared to Welles’ exotic looks, she feels very frumpy at the moment. Welles goes on to tell Canyon that she and her boyfriend had fucked to Canyon’s movies and that her boyfriend dared her to go into the business. Welles also tells Canyon that she had been a dancer at a club in Van Nuys called the Odd Ball. Welles states that she went to see Jim South the very next day. Welles then introduces her boyfriend, at the time, who happens to be Randy West.

Canyon notes how good looking she thought West was but was becoming nervous when Welles began making sexual overtures towards her.

West mentions that he wants to watch the two of them getting it on while playing with himself in the corner. Before anything happens, however, it was Klein who broke up the cozy little meeting stating that he had to see a bank manager. Welles then writes her number on the back of a business card, hands it to Canyon and states that she wants to fuck Canyon real soon. In turn, Canyon asks Klein to mull over her counter-offer, knowing full well that she wouldn’t hear back from him. Canyon writes that a week after shooting Night Trips, Welles did, indeed, leave Caballero for Vivid.

She must not have gotten her Camaro.
