from www.nydailynews.com – The daughter of Olivia Newton-John collapsed outside a Los Angeles strip club last week after she and a friend were turned away by the bouncer for being too drunk, according to a report.
Aspiring pop singer Chole Lattanzi, 23, was on the ground outside the West Hollywood club and needed help to right herself, the Australian Web site Woman’s Day reports.
Lattanzi, Newton-John’s daughter with ex-husband Matt Lattanzi, an American actor, has long suffered from anorexia nervosa, according to the Web site, but had appeared to have beaten the eating disorder. Her collapse sparks fears she has relapsed.
Lattanzi apparently had a difficult time growing up in the shadow of her famous mother. She says she suffered a lonely upbringing while Newton-John, who enjoyed huge success in the 1980s with hits like “Physical” and opposite John Travolta in the movie “Grease,” was off being a star, Woman’s Day reports.
Newton-John, now 61, seems to have found lasting love with her second husband, John Easterling, after battling breast cancer and suffering the mysterious disappearance of her longtime love Patrick McDermott, to whom she was linked for nine years before he vanished in 2005.
Her daughter’s health is the most recent of these personal trials.
The bouncer outside the Star Strip Theatre, which advertised “Live nude girls girls girls,” told Lattanzi and a female friend, “You guys can’t get in here. You’re too drunk,” after she had pleaded for 10 minutes to be allowed in.
She then attempted to leave but did not get far before she fell to the ground.
Lattanzi, whose pop career has been on hold for several years presumably while she fought her eating disorder, recovered herself and was able to continue drinking at another bar down the road, according to Woman’s Day.
“She was clearly in high spirits if a little wobbly on her feet,” says one patron.
