Performer Availability Screening Services (PASS) will host an "Office Hours" town hall meeting on July 7 to discuss Mgen and address concerns regarding rectal Mgen testing and misinformation about changes to the PASS Standard Testing Panel.

The discussion, open to all adult industry workers, will take place at 12 p.m. PT. Industry members interested in attending must register with PASS in advance via a provided Zoom link. Approved attendees will receive an email invitation.

Mgen Concerns and Misinformation

The upcoming town hall will focus on Mgen and recent conversations surrounding concerns over rectal Mgen testing. Additionally, the session aims to clarify misinformation circulating about changes being made to the PASS Standard Testing Panel. The decision to open this discussion to all adult industry workers stems from a high level of engagement on these topics across multiple social media platforms.

Individuals with specific questions or concerns about Mgen are encouraged to submit them during the registration process. This will allow the PASS team to address these questions directly during the session.

PASS "Office Hours" Initiative

PASS has committed to hosting monthly “Office Hours for PASS Members” as part of an effort to understand the industry’s needs. An organization spokesperson stated that these sessions are designed to answer questions and receive feedback to help improve PASS operations. The July 7 town hall is part of this ongoing initiative.

Other July 7 Town Halls

The July 7 date will also see other town hall meetings held by various organizations and public officials outside the adult industry. The Decatur Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) will hold one of its two public meetings on July 7 at the council chambers at Decatur City Hall, from 3 until 6 p.m. This meeting is part of a public comment period for the Draft 2050 Long-Range Transportation Plan, which outlines how federal highway and transit funds will be spent in the metropolitan planning area over the next 25 years. The public review period for this plan began earlier and will continue through August 7. The plan and comment forms are available on the Decatur Area MPO’s website, at the MPO office, Decatur City Hall, Hartselle City Hall, Priceville Town Hall, Trinity Town Hall, the Morgan County Courthouse, and the Limestone County Courthouse Annex. The MPO's second public meeting will be on July 9 at Hartselle City Hall's council chambers, 611 Chestnut St. N.W., also from 3 to 6 p.m.

Republican Rep. Mike Flood also announced a town hall in Bellevue on July 7. This event will take place at Bellevue West High School, with doors opening at 4:15 p.m. and the event scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. Attendees are advised that no signs, backpacks, or large bags will be permitted, and a clear-bag policy will be in place for all small bags. During the town hall, Rep. Flood will provide an update on his work in Congress representing Nebraska's 1st Congressional District, followed by a question-and-answer period. This will be the second of three town halls Rep. Flood plans to hold this year. His last town hall was in May in Norfolk, where he faced a crowd of 200 attendees and received backlash during the question-and-answer period, which spanned most of the 90-minute event. The date and location for his final town hall have not yet been announced.

Additionally, Rep. Jamie Long (DFL) announced a town hall for July 7. This announcement was made on Tuesday, June 30, 2026. The legislative session concluded last month, and DFLers delivered priorities including a lifeline to Hennepin County Medical Center, $40 million in emergency rental assistance, boosted Property Tax Refunds, and increased investments in the Attorney General’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit. A nation-leading Office of Inspector General was also created. A $1.24 billion jobs and infrastructure package with investments across the state was also passed. Rep. Long noted that House Republicans did not consider solutions to other priorities, including banning assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, and largely refused to acknowledge harm inflicted by ICE on the state, blocking bills with economic assistance for businesses and banning ICE agents from schools and hospitals.
