Playboy Bunny to Get a New Look

WWW- THE Playboy Bunny is getting a makeover from haute fashion designer Roberto Cavalli.

Playboy has tapped the Italian couturier to redesign the iconic outfit, which was the first service uniform granted a trademark by the U.S. Patent and Trade mark Office. The skimpy threads, which feature bunny ears and a tail that accentuates the female backside, debuted at Chicago’s Playboy Club in 1960 and quickly became the symbol of the lad rag. Playboy founder Hugh Hefner’s daughter Christie, now the company’s chairman and CEO, said Cavalli was a natural fit to tweak the look: “Cavalli is the perfect designer to reinterpret the magic of the original design as he too embraces the good life, inspires an aspirational lifestyle for a jet-set crowd, and of course, celebrates beautifulwomen.”
