Playboy Says ‘No Immediate Plans’ to Leave Chicago

On www.adultcybermart.com it’s nice to have great advertisers like Good Fellas Productions

from www.suntimes.com – Playboy Enterprises Inc. said it’s staying put, at least for now.

The Chicago-based publisher had to respond to yet another rumor that it may relocate to California. The response came after Timeout Chicago magazine reported Wednesday that Playboy’s editorial director and chief content officer, Jimmy Jellinek, announced on a Facebook post that he “will be moving to Los Angeles in August,” raising more questions about whether Playboy plans to move its headquarters out of Chicago as well.

“Playboy has no immediate plans to move to Los Angeles,” the company said in a statement to the Chicago Sun-Times on Wednesday. “Beginning in August while Jimmy Jellinek’s primary residence will be in LA, he will be traveling back and forth between Los Angeles and Chicago on a regular basis.”

Last October, Hugh Hefner denied an online report that the company planned to move its headquarters, noting the company has a long-term lease here.

Playboy leases space for its headquarters at 680 N. Lake Shore Drive.

Playboy returned to private ownership this year following a buyout by Hefner, who founded the company.
