POISON drummer Rikki Rockett has told TMZ.com that he will hold a press conference next week that will clear the air on the sexual assault charges that were filed against him in connection with a September 2007 incident that took place in Philadelphia, Mississippi.
Speaking to TMZ.com outside the Off Broadway Bistro in Valencia, California where Rockett and his fiancée Melanie Martel, a singer, were scheduled to perform last night, Rikki said, “We’re doing a press conference next week — this whole thing will be over. And it’ll be the end of it.” On the subject of whether he will be indicted for rape in Mississippi, Rockett said, “No, I would have been indicted already.” Asked if he even knows his accuser, Rikki replied, “No. I don’t know who she is.”

Rockett was arrested in March in Los Angeles on a warrant stemming from the forceable rape complaint.
