STAUNTON, Virginia – from www.newsleader.com — Police on Sunday arrested a Staunton woman wanted in connection with a case where she is accused of trying to lure two teenage boys to film a porn video with her.

Latosha L. Clark, 34, was being sought by authorities after she failed to show for her trial Sept. 9 in Augusta County Circuit Court. The no-show by Clark delayed her trial with co-defendant Brooke R. Johnson, 27, also of Staunton. Each faces a charge of producing child pornography.

The case against the two women began in November when Johnson reportedly approached a Craigsville man inside the Big Lots store on West Main Street in Waynesboro, according to the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office. There, an offer of sex was made and the man was given a cell phone number to call.

The man reported the solicitation to the sheriff’s office, which later conducted phone surveillance involving at least one of the suspects. During a phone conversation, the man was told to find men older than 13 to have sex with Clark.

“Clark stated she wanted to videotape the sex because she was always interested in porn stars,” said Capt. Glenn Hanger of the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office.

The man reportedly offered up his younger brother and a cousin, ages 13 and 15, to Clark, with the Budget Inn on Greenville Avenue in Staunton chosen as the spot to film, the sheriff’s office said. On Nov. 26, authorities arrested Clark and Johnson, who was allegedly carrying camera equipment, upon their arrival at the motel. The boys were not at the scene of the arrest.

After Clark failed to show for the Sept. 9 trial, a warrant was issued for her arrest. Staunton police arrested her Sunday on Charles Street.

Clark is being held without bond at Middle River Regional Jail in Verona. Johnson is free on bond.
