Pornhub Awards Returns In-Person at Whisky a Go Go

The 6th annual Pornhub Awards returned to an in-person format for the first time since 2019, taking over the Whisky a Go Go in West Hollywood, California. The event, held on a Thursday night, gathered hundreds of adult industry figures for an evening themed "leather and lace."

Event Details and Atmosphere

The Pornhub Awards, marking its sixth edition, transformed the historic Whisky a Go Go on the Sunset Strip into a venue reflecting a "Guns n’ Roses and Poison era" aesthetic. The theme, "leather and lace," guided the evening's atmosphere, which extended into the early hours. This year's event followed a previous celebration held in a Hollywood Hills mansion.

Attendees, including adult stars and other industry players, packed the club. The guest list was described as closely-guarded and included figures such as Diplo, Ty Dolla $ign, Brooke Candy, and "Drag Race" alums Gia Gunn and Kerri Colby. Electro-dance duo Trashworld provided the music for the evening.

Before the main ceremony, porn luminaries walked a red carpet leading to a rear patio area. The ambassadors wore custom looks, conceptualized by celebrity stylist Briana Andalore and fashion brand SEKS.

Ceremony and Recognition

The ceremony commenced at approximately 11 p.m. Alexzandra Kekesi, Aylo's Head of Community and Brand, welcomed the attendees to the venue. Kekesi, dressed in "1980s Sunset Strip-ready skintight leopard print," stated that the event served as "a reminder of how far we’ve truly come" and expressed pride in being part of the community.

The first award presented was a Lifetime Achievement Award, which recognized Cecilia Gentili, a recently deceased trans activist and former sex worker. Trans star and Pornhub ambassador Natassia Dreams accepted the award on Gentili's behalf. Dreams commented on Gentili's significance in the community, describing her as "a fierce advocate," and thanked Pornhub for commemorating her. In addition to the award, Pornhub made a charitable donation to a sex work-related cause.
