Do you think all those cable industry stories we’ve been reading about lousy VOD and adult buys had anything to do with it?
from www.bizjournals.com – Ken Boenish has resigned as president of New Frontier Media Inc., the Boulder-based company that distributes adult entertainment via pay-per-view and on-demand channels.
His departure was first reported Friday by the website xbiz.com, which covers the adult entertainment industry.
Boenish joined New Frontier Media in February 1999, initially as senior vice president of affiliate sales. He was promoted to president in June 2005.
New Frontier Media didn’t disclose a reason for Boenish’s resignation in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The company did say it’s entered into “a transition services and consulting agreement” with Boenish through Aug. 4, 2012.
Boenish will provide the company with consulting services for $30,000 a month and in return agrees not to reveal trade secrets, compete against New Frontier Media or solicit its employees to leave the company.
Boenish was paid a $500,000 salary last year, but bonuses and other perks brought his compensation package up to $948,700.
