LOS ANGELES – Ellis Camino, an AVN-nominated adult performer and creator, has commenced principal photography for his directorial debut, Mr. Pynk. The film is described as a Quentin Tarantino-inspired parody that blends heist thriller intensity with adult entertainment.

Production for Mr. Pynk began on July 14, 2026. Camino, known for the Pink for Ink series, also stars in the film as Mr. Green. A representative stated that Mr. Pynk reimagines the crime genre through a hyper-stylized, erotic lens, drawing inspiration from Tarantino’s signature style, which includes nonlinear storytelling, sharp dialogue, vengeance-driven plots, and ensemble casts. The film follows a crew of tattooed anti-heroes executing a high-stakes heist, featuring wit, action sequences, and on-screen chemistry. The project is described as a "Reservoir Dogs-meets-adult homage."

Tarantino's Influence and Camino's Vision

Ellis Camino stated that the project has been a passion for him and that he has poured everything into the screenplay. He described the film as having "Tarantino energy with real ink, real heat, and a story that delivers both thrills and fantasy." Camino also said that the production is building something special for fans who seek premium adult content with cinematic ambition.

Quentin Tarantino has not directed a feature film since Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, which was released in 2019. Tarantino has maintained his intention to retire from feature filmmaking after completing his tenth movie. He initially planned for his final project to be titled The Movie Critic, with Brad Pitt slated to star, but he officially scrapped this idea in 2024. Tarantino then pivoted to theater, focusing on writing and directing his first stage play, The Popinjay Cavalier, which is scheduled to debut in London's West End in early 2027.

During his career, Tarantino has worked on several projects that did not progress beyond the pre-production stage under his direction. Some of these projects were canceled, some were turned over to other production teams, and others never made it past the speculative stage. In the 1980s, Tarantino co-wrote, co-produced, and co-directed Love Birds in Bondage with Scott Magill or McGill. McGill committed suicide in 1987, destroying all footage that had been shot. The film concerned a young woman who suffered a traumatic brain injury and was institutionalized, with her boyfriend, played by Tarantino, finding a way to get himself admitted. Long before his first released feature, Reservoir Dogs, Tarantino met with Craig Hamann and was introduced to his script, My Best Friend's Birthday.

Tarantino's Recent Activities and Future Plans

Since Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Tarantino has written books, hosted podcasts, and penned a script for David Fincher, whose film The Adventures of Cliff Booth is set to be released later this year. Tarantino is currently working on his play in London, and after its completion, he will commence work on his new movie. This information was provided by Tarantino's longtime collaborator, cinematographer Robert Richardson.
