from www.suncoastpinellas.tbo.com – A 32-year-old Clearwater woman was arrested Wednesday afternoon on charges she left a child in her care alone in a motel room while she went out to prostitute herself.

Misty Mantooth, of 24 S. Hillcrest Ave., No. 2, was charged with child neglect and prostitution. She was being held at the Pinellas County Jail with bail set at $5,250.

About 2:20 p.m., Mantooth left the child in the hotel room, according to arrest affidavits. The child would have remained alone until Mantooth’s boyfriend showed up, according to the affidavit.
