Riley Reid has returned to studio work, starring in Dorcel’s latest feature, “Strip.” The multi-XMAs winner’s return marks a significant event, with the film focusing on the seedier side of strip clubs.
Production Details and Cast
France-based studio Dorcel produced “Strip,” which features Reid in a starring role. The film centers on the plight of Tommy, a strip club owner played by Tommy Pistol, who navigates various challenges. Reid portrays the club’s manager, working to protect the interests of both the club and its dancers.
Ricky Greenwood directed “Strip.” Other cast members include Kenna James, Jayden Cole, Nicole Vaunt, Nicole Doshi, Ameena Green, Blake Blossom, Anna Claire Clouds, Gizelle Blanco, Scarlett Alexis, Christian Clay, Charles Dera, Isiah Maxwell, Ryan Driller, Lucky Fate, Ken Feels, and Seth Gamble. Isiah Maxwell, Seth Gamble, and Charles Dera were observed on set dressed in suits for their roles as club tough guys.
A representative described “Strip” as “a stylish and emotionally charged drama” that immerses audiences in the “shadowy glamour of the Lucky Hearts Club, where ambition, desire, and betrayal collide under neon lights.” The representative also highlighted Reid’s “powerhouse performance” as a “triumphant return to feature filmmaking.”
On Set at the Blue Zebra
Filming for “Strip” took place at the Blue Zebra Adult Cabaret in North Hollywood. XBIZ reported being on set during shooting in October. AVN also reported on the set in March 2025, describing a chilly Sunday night at the gentlemen’s club, located in an industrial area. The club appeared largely deserted, with one individual described as a regular pacing in the foyer. During a scene, voices were heard in heated dialogue, followed by a “FUCK you!” and laughter, then more angry conversation. Greenwood, the director, was observed next to a camera on a trolley, conferring with the camera operator about the next take. About a dozen crew members were seated behind the cameras.
Reid’s Studio Comeback
Dorcel initiated discussions to bring Reid on board for “Strip” in January, according to Ricky Greenwood. Greenwood stated that the vice president of Dorcel expressed a desire to do a movie with Reid, noting they had not previously had the opportunity to do a scene with her. Although Reid remained active on her platforms, she had not performed in a studio title for years. Greenwood later had dinner with Reid’s agent, Mark Spiegler, who indicated that a studio return was not out of the question, leading to negotiations.
Reid had previously shown interest in working with Dorcel, but geographical location had been an obstacle. She stated to XBIZ that she was “always shooting so much in LA that there wasn’t really much of a reason for me to go to Europe and shoot.” However, for “Strip,” Dorcel wanted her for a feature that would include girl/girl scenes and significant dialogue, which she found appealing.
Since its recent release, “Strip” has been described by a representative as having “quickly established itself as a fan favorite and critical standout,” with audiences praising its “immersive atmosphere and unforgettable performances.”
