Ron Jeremy and PETA On Celebrity Justice

Chatsworth, CA He is the most recognized face in adult and yesterday Metro’s www.metrointeractive.com exclusive contract star, Ron Jeremy became the most recognized face in the fight for animals. PETA unveiled their latest ad campaign titled “Too Much Sex Can Be a Bad Thing”. The campaign features Ron Jeremy nude in bed promoting the Spaying & Neutering of pets. The ad was run in nationwide magazines and newspapers just in time for Spay Day USA.

Please visit www.peta.org to read the full story and to watch his video interview.

Ron & PETA will be featured tonight on Celebrity Justice tonight 12:30 am on KCAL 9 in the Legal Briefs segment.

from www.peta.org: As one of the most penetrating stars of the adult movie industry, with almost 1,800 movies under his belt, Ron Jeremy knows a thing or two about sex! In a business where talent can be measured in inches, Ron has been keeping up with the Johnsons since the ’70s to become one of the biggest stars in adult films.

Recently, Ron proved that his biggest organ may be his heart when he took a break from his daily grind to pose for a new PETA ad promoting spaying and neutering. In the tongue-in-cheek ad, the Surreal Life star lies naked on a bed, with the tagline “Too much sex can be a bad thing. Help end overpopulation-spay and neuter your dogs and cats.”

Why are Jeremy and PETA so fixated on getting animals fixed? One unspayed female cat can produce 36 cats in just one and a half years-an unneutered male can help create limitless litters of kittens. Every year, millions of unwanted dogs and cats are dumped at overcrowded animal shelters, where most are put to death. The less fortunate ones will be turned out to fend for themselves in all extremes of weather, lose battles with traffic and disease, have no constant food source, and perhaps even be stolen by laboratory dealers or used as bait by dogfighters. Simple surgery (spaying for females, neutering for males) is the solution.

“Dog and cat populations can get out of control quickly, which is why so many of them pour into local animal shelters,” says PETA’s vice president of communications, Lisa Lange. “Everyone wants to stop killing innocent dogs and cats, but the only way to make that happen is to neuter and spay.”

The ad will appear in newspapers and magazines just in time for Spay Day USA on February 22.
