Ron Jeremy Inducted to Legends of Erotica

LAS VEGAS — [www.xbiz.com ]- On Friday night, Ron Jeremy was inducted into the 15th annual Legends of Erotica, at an event held at Showgirl Video in Las Vegas, www.xxxdeepthroat.com.

Other celebrities that received the honor alongside Jeremy were veteran performers Debi Diamond, Kitten Natividad, Mimi Miyagi, Midori and Brittany Andrews.

“Thirty years? No wonder I’m so tired,” Jeremy quipped after the ceremony, adding, “It was very sweet and I’m really honored.”

Veteran performer Bill Margold, who organizes the annual Legends of Erotica inductions, told XBIZ, “ I gave Ronnie one [girl] for each finger — the hottest handful in the business.”

Performers that become Legends are asked to make an impression in a block of cement, similar to the slabs at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. The blocks are then dried and line the walls of the backroom of Showgirl Video. Showgirls and Arrow Productions owner Raymond Pistol hopes to someday convert the location to an adult hall of fame and museum.

Jeremy opted to press a silicone mold of himself into the block of cement, before inscribing it with his name and the date. He said later that since the mold was taken from him in real life, he felt that it would make the best impression.

Other honorees included Debi Diamond, whose career spanned 18 years in the ‘80s and ‘90s, producing more than 500 titles. Diamond also was a favorite model of world-renowned fetish/fashion photographer Helmut Newton.

Kitten Natividad was best known as the muse of “big boob” softcore pioneer Russ Meyer, and starred in numerous adult and mainstream titles, including Meyer’s classics “Beneath the Valley of the Ultra-Vixens” and “Up!”

Breaking into the adult business in 1991, inductee Mimi Miyagi was one of the original Asian girl performers, eventually becoming the publisher of now defunct Oriental Dolls Magazine.

Black starlet Midori was honored also, for her career that started in 1997, and soon made her a well-known name on the pro-am circuit.

When asked how she felt about being made a Legend, Midori said, “Now, I’m officially OG,” (for “original gangster”).

Fetish and softcore queen Brittany Andrews was recognized for her 15-year career as one of the rare condom-only performers in the industry, as well as her numerous online paysites which earned her the nickname “the Niche Bitch.”

Ron Jeremy was inducted by New Porn Order’s Craig Valentine; other adult celebrities on hand included performers Sunny Lane, Flower Tucci, Cara Lott, Minka and Sativa.

Paradise Visuals owner Jason Green was in attendance, along with Mondo Video owner Colonel Rob and also, Raymond Pistol.

Honorable mentions were also presented to performer Summer Haze for her contributions to various industry organizations and also to Adult Industry News’ Steve Nelson for his work in the industry.
