Missouri – from www.newspressnow.com – St. Joseph police shut down a Chippendales performance at Legends Sports Bar Wednesday night for violations of Missouri’s adult entertainment statute.
Capt. Kevin Castle said four semi-nude male dancers were issued summons for no adult entertainer’s licenses, one male performer was issued a summons for no business license and the on-duty manager was arrested for violation of the Missouri adult entertainment statutes.
Police were already at the bar doing liquor inspections and witnessed “multiple violations regarding the performances and the alcohol,” Mr. Castle said.
The on-duty manager, Alan Van Zandt, said he was arrested and later released on recognizance. No charges have been filed pending further investigation.
Section 573.531 of the Missouri Revised Statutes, which says alcohol can not be served when semi-nude dancers are performing, went into effect on Aug. 28.
Mr. Van Zandt is the part-time weatherman at KQTV, Ch. 2.
