LOS ANGELES, CA – From Euphoria and Space Nuts to 2040, 2011 XBIZ Feature Studio of the Year Wicked Pictures has released some of the past decade’s most critically acclaimed science fiction erotica.
Given this formidable track record, it should come as no surprise that the company has enlisted the services of AVN award-winning filmmaker and genre specialist Sam Hain to helm Horizon, a wildly imaginative foray into the realm of big budget original sci-fi starring Wicked Girls jessica drake, Kaylani Lei, Alektra Blue and a host of other A-list performers.
In anticipation of the film’s Fall debut, Wicked has released the show’s striking cover art as well as a two-minute trailer and informative on-the-set interview with co-star jessica drake.

Coming September 28th 2011, this ambitious science fiction spectacular is one of the first features in either the mainstream or adult genres to have been shot with the new Red Epic camera system, a creative decision that director Hain feels was critical to perfecting the production’s unique visual aesthetic.
“We used the Red Epic because we wanted to make the most cinematic adult film ever produced. Not only does the sensor give you an image quality comparable to 35mm film, but when combined with the Zeiss Master Prime lenses, we were able to shoot in extremely low light set ups that give the film a look never before seen in an adult release.”
Already an acclaimed science fiction filmmaker with several successful SF parodies to his credit, Hain is thrilled to have completed his first original film for Wicked Pictures, and believes it possesses all the elements needed to become a true crossover release. “At the end of the day, I’m confident that when you watch Horizon you’ll feel as though you’re enjoying a high quality mainstream production.”
