Sex assault suspect gets thrown out of court

Chicago- Nyerere Logan, 27, was in court at 26th and California Thursday, charged with sexually assaulting a 23-year-old woman in her apartment in the 2300 block of West Van Buren on Oct. 6.

As soon as he was led in for his bond hearing, he declared he didn’t commit any crime.

“Did I ask you if you did it or not?” Judge Kevin Sheehan snapped from the bench.

As details of the alleged attack were read, Logan repeatedly shook his head and stared open-mouthed at the deputy guarding him.

When Sheehan set bail at $350,000, Logan yelled, “F— that!” and blamed the justice system for trying to take his life away.

“I’m outta here,” Logan said at one point.

Sheehan held Logan in contempt of court and ordered him brought back Monday to explain himself. Shortly after Sheehan threw him out of court, Logan yelled “I hope all you m—–f—–s die!”
