Sexy Postcards to be Outlawed in Brazil?

RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil — Brazil is famous for its babes in string bikinis.

But one lawmaker wants to make the Girl from Ipanema off limits for tourists.

A Rio de Janeiro state legislator has filed a bill that would outlaw sales of postcards showing women in bikinis that are so skimpy, they’re called “dental floss.”

Postcard racks are full of them, and many Brazilians don’t look twice.

But the legislator, Alice Tamborindeguy, said the picture postcards are risque and encourage sexual tourism.

She added that the postcards degrade the image of Brazil.
