About Norwescon

Norwescon is described as the Pacific Northwest's top science fiction and fantasy convention. It is also referred to as the Pacific Northwest's Premier Science-Fiction and Fantasy Convention and one of the largest entirely volunteer-operated regional conventions in the United States. The convention draws over 2000 members annually and is a wholly volunteer-run organization.

Norwescon maintains a primarily literary focus but also provides a venue for other aspects of science fiction and fantasy and fan interests, including comics, costuming, art, gaming, science, and technology. The convention is also home to the Philip K. Dick Award ceremony.

Norwescon 48, with the theme "Illuminating the Way," is scheduled for April 2–5, 2026, in SeaTac, WA. It will be held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Seattle Airport, which is described as its long-time home. The hotel is located south of Seattle. A membership for NWC49 (2027) is available for $80, and room reservations can be made for $174 per night.
