Porn Valley- I spoke to Skeeter Kerkove some weeks ago when AVN first posted a blind item about a “famous director” being on the Megan’s Law List. Skeeter explained to me what happened, noting that this happened on an amateur shoot about 20 years ago. The actual offense was for rape with a foreign object in concert and 30 people were involved.
“I didn’t even touch the girl and I’m only on video for about 60 seconds and they turned this into a big thing,” Skeeter says. “In concert means you weren’t a part of this, but you became a part of the situation when you did not disassociate yourself from it or report it.” Skeeter recalls the events, noting that he was 18 or 19 and was at the Rainbow Bar and Grille with his cousin. “He was in a rock band called Walk. I would use his ID.”
Skeeter laughs because the ID would have described him as being 6’8″ and 200 pounds. Skeeter was also with his girlfriend and from there went to a town home in Burbank. “Everybody’s drinking but I’m not. Because I know I have to drive,” he states. “With long hair to my waist, the city of Burbank was no place to drive or drink. Towards the end of the night this guy, Chris comes downstairs: Skeeter, you’ve got to see what’s going on- these guys are going crazy! Me and my girlfriend go upstairs. There’s a girl naked drinking a beer and guys are using dildos on her. That’s where the in concert charge came. Even my girlfriend got arrested and convicted. It clearly slows us on videotape and we see what’s going on. The videotape’s over an hour and a half long before we enter the room. And it ends three minutes later but we’re already gone.
“Everybody who was at the party and saw it but didn’t do anything about it got arrested,” Skeeter continues. “Then they found all these video tapes this guy had. It was total gonzo porn. This guy Doug is reaching out, he’s grabbing her. He’s talking to all these girls being filmed. It was weird. We were in court over this and it was a very long process. The girl says on the videotape says go ahead and tape me- I don’t care. But her friend is saying don’t do that, everyone’s going to find out. They brought all these other VHS tapes in to show hwo long these guys had been doing this filming.” Skeeter says this isn’t the first time that he’s told the story that in the beginning if his career, he warned people that if a girl says no you had better stop right there. “If it’s said a second time, even though it’s a movie, you’re fucked.”
According to Skeeter, Burbank filed charges because it thought a crime had been committed. “Somewhere down in Los Angeles they decided to take the case because it was porn-related,” Skeeter continues. “Everybody got arrested, bailed out then released. The girl came in and testified. She was only mad at this one guy named Tony who fucked her before on a video. It ended up where nobody had any money and there was nobody to sue. And she wouldn’t come to court any more. So everybody just took deals. But then the laws changed throughout the years, and that’s what made all 30 of us have to register where before we didn’t meet the criteria of it.”
