Porn Valley- Starr Productions in Hollywood, CA is releasing Mark Miremont’s CARNIVAL OF DESIRES, a collection of eight films by the mainstream director, photographer and artist.
Best known for his distinctive photography, Miremont’s diverse background also includes experimental films that have screened with work by Warhol, music videos for Grammy winning bands like Soundgarden and wall paintings that have been seen at the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art’s Temporary Contemporary. His first screenplay was developed through the June Filmmaker’s Lab at Robert Redford’s Sundance Institute with Tarantino’s RESERVOIR DOGS and he has produced four films that have premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.
Shot at an opulent mansion and processed using a variety techniques, CARNIVAL OF DESIRES promises to be the most unique looking film of the year.
“Mark’s photography is like no one else’s. He’s a modern day Man Ray or Helmut Newton in that he blends art and erotica, but he does so in his own very colorful, very beautiful way. His photographs of models like Zdenka Podkapova, Dita von Teese, Julie Strain, Masuimi Max and others have had a lot to do with pinups and fetish glamour becoming so vogue.
