Stern’s Bow Out Plans

WWW- IT’S shaping up as a kind of Thanksgiving Day parade on steroids, LSD – and Viagra.

Howard Stern plans to end his final broadcast on conventional radio Friday with an eight-block “walk” from K-Rock to the Sirius Satellite studio. On every show before that, Stern is announcing something new for what he calls Fan Appreciation Day. About the only thing he hasn’t lined up are 50-foot lesbian balloons on ropes – at least not yet.

Here’s what his plans include:

* Strippers from all over the country. “It sounds like a strippers’ convention,” sidekick Robin Quivers told listeners.

* Dennis Hof, owner of Nevada’s Bunny Ranch, a legal brothel, is said to be bringing a string of his girls to march in the circusy parade from K-Rock’s studios, at 40 W. 57th St., to Sirius’, at 48th and Sixth.

* A final-day guest roster that includes Ku Klux Klan grand dragon Daniel Carver, Martha Raye widower Mark Harris, comedian Gilbert Gottfried and Stern show regulars Wendy the Retard, Elephant Boy, Crackhead Bob, Jeff the Vomit Guy and Angry Black.

* A “best farewell sign” contest, with the prize being $10,000 or the chance to make out with a porn star.

* Possible performances by the bands Staind and Train.

* Live video coverage on the Internet, via Yahoo!, of Stern’s farewell speech as well as his “ceremonial walk” down Sixth Avenue.

“I would like [K-Rock manager Tom Chiusano] to allow me to broadcast the rest of the day [on radio], but he sees it as a promotion for Sirius,” Stern complained.

Stern also claimed Chiusano was overheard wishing for snow that day, The Post’s John Mainelli reports.

Meanwhile, each day on the air, Stern has been gleefully announcing the number of shows remaining until he’s freed from the “FCC censorship” of broadcast radio. Infinity, which owns K-Rock, will air reruns from Dec. 19 through the end of the year.

Stern’s $500 million, five-year deal on satellite radio begins Jan. 9. Interestingly, the shock jock has also invited at least eight big advertisers to join him on his K-Rock finale – including, appropriately, Dial-a-Mattress. Wall Street analysts say he’ll need them – as well as at least a million subscribers paying $12.95 a month for Sirius to make any money on Stern’s cushy deal.
