Porn Valley- Ron Jeremy who's started a whole new porn career as the Barnacle Bill the sailor character, stopped by Cytherea's birthday bash Monday night and got on the KSEX, www.ksexradio.com mikes. Wankus noted that he and Jeremy had the opportunity of some bonding time during the Tampa show.
Jeremy took note that the Key Club where the party was being held was the former Gazzaris, long a landmark of the Sunset Strip, and that Bill Gazzari had been a friend of the adult industry, and that the former Gazzaris is where the FOXE awards used to be held. Jeremy said Gazzari discovered groups like The Doors and Van Halen. Asked to explain the idea behind Barnacle Bill, Jeremy said the character fucks girls from all over the world. "Like Israeli girls, Asian girls, black, white, Hispanic. We play hide the bacon."
According to Jeremy, Steve Banan obtained the rights to use the name. "We got the domain name and Steve got the copyright I think. The people who had the cartoon and trademark years ago forgot to renew it. So we actually have the trademark. If a major studio wanted to do Barnacle Bill, they'd have to come to us. It's a fun little series."
Jeremy explained that because Barnacle Bill is a website, it doesn't affect his contract with Metro. "I have to get permission to do a scene outside Metro." Wankus noted that he and Jeremy had a fun time at the Tampa show, describing Jeremy's performance on stage at the awards show as "funny as fuck."
Jeremy was equally complimentary, stating that he and the Jenna Jameson entourage which attended porn star karaoke thought Wankus was more entertaining than the awards show the following night. "Everyone had a great time and it was really fun."
