Story of the Day Replay: Dan Miller Gone at AVN; Jennifer Rosenblatt Out a Second Time

The tom toms are beating loudly Wednesday afternoon. Dan Miller is out at AVN as editor-in-chief. Looks like the earlier story this week about Steve Javors coming aboard as an associate managing editor had more substance behind it, since AVN needed assistants like the Titanic needed more passengers.

Miller with his huge salary, is no doubt, a victim of the porn recession. But the real surprise in what was described as another round of cuts at the beleaguered trade magazine, is the ouster of Jennifer Rosenblatt, the one time Senior Vice President and Sales Manager.

Adding insult to injury, this makes the second time that Jen has gotten the unceremonious heave-ho. Her first departure from the mag in September 2004 resulted in a contentious lawsuit and a settlement with a gag order.

Then, in what was a startling development more or less prompted by her re;placement Sara Sazzman’s leaving for XBIZ, Rosenblatt went back to work for AVN around the end of last year, but from what I gathered, not in the full capacity she enjoyed in the past.
