Susan Finkelstein gets probation, snubs reporters

Susan Finkelstein could have manipulated this story to great ends by generating sympathy as a woman oppressed by the bad policeman. In the end, Finkelstein and her husband come out of this looking like idiots.

from www.phillyburbs.com – Susan Finkelstein was uncharacteristicly quiet as she was escorted from a Bucks County courtroom in Doylestown moments ago after being sentenced for attempted prostitution.

Finkelstein, 44, of Philadelphia, must serve a year of probation and complete 100 hours of community service for posting a Craigslist ad offering sex in exchange for 2008 Phillies World Series tickets.

Bucks County judge Albert Cepparulo said Finkelstein should speak to women about the dangers of the Internet, noting that she was “lucky” that a police officer received her offer and the topless photos she posted online, and not a sexual predator.

Finkelstein’s husband called the judge’s assertion “ridiculous,” saying he didn’t think she was in any danger when she agreed to meet a stranger at the Neshaminy Mall in Bensalem last year.

“She is not a child,” he said.
